OFFICIALS GATHER TO CUT RIBBON ON RELOCATED FIRE STATION 15

WHAT: Gwinnett County will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the relocation of Fire Station 15 to 199 Scenic Highway in Lawrenceville. The new facility replaced one of the busiest fire stations in the county. The new station is a 10,788 square-foot, three-bay station that houses an engine, ladder and medic unit and includes sleeping quarters for 12 firefighters and a battalion chief, a kitchen, dining area, dayroom, fitness room and storage areas for gear and equipment. 

WHEN: Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, at 11 a.m.

WHO: Gwinnett County Fire Chief Russell Knick will emcee the event. Board of Commissioners Chairman Charlotte Nash and District 4 Commissioner John Heard will provide remarks.

WHERE:  199 Scenic Hwy., Lawrenceville, Ga. 30046. Additional parking is available in the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center parking deck, 75 Langley Dr., Lawrenceville, Ga. 30046. A shuttle will transport guests from the GJAC loading dock to the fire station.
