If you are seeking information through an open records request, you may submit your request in writing to one of the following persons (please choose the appropriate area of General, Courts, Fire, Planning and Development, Police, or Water Resources):

General Requests

You may use the electronic Open Records Request Form to request access to documents to inspect or obtain copies under the Georgia Open Records Act. This form is not required to request routinely available records such as agendas, minutes, plats, ordinances, and resolutions. Although Open Records Requests are not required to be submitted in writing, use of this form will aid considerably in ensuring that each request is fulfilled as accurately as possible. Joe Sorenson

Court Requests

For birth records, divorce records, and marriage records, please call the Gwinnett County Probate Court at 770.822.8250 to make your request. The court system does not accept electronic requests. For case documents, deeds, or property liens, please contact the Clerk of Court. The Clerk of Court only accepts written requests (no email, fax, or telephone requests). Please direct your written request to Clerk of Court, PO Box 880, Lawrenceville, GA 30046.
