Video is primarily acquired using Sony DXC-D35WS cameras utilizing both Betacam SP and DVCam tape formats. Additional footage is acquired using Sony PD150s and Cannon XL1s. Productions are edited utilizing Avid Adrenaline and Avid Media Composer nonlinear editing systems. Much of TV Gwinnett's programming is still edited on a Sony DFS-700/BVE-2000 linear edit suite. The DFS-700 edit suite doubles as a live switching control room for productions originating in or around the GJAC auditorium. Master Control for the channel head-end is a Tightrope-based system. The Tightrope system automatically executes switching, graphic display and video playback. Video playback is accomplished via dual video servers with DVD backup. |
