*UPDATE: Double Fatality Accident Investigation

Update #1: The decedents of the accident have been identified as husband and wife. The driver was Kryzysztof Krawczynski (77yo) of Norcross. The passenger was Elzbieta Gurtler-Krawczynska (78yo) of Norcross. Next of kin notification has been made. The occupants of the suspect vehicle are father and son. They have been booked into the Gwinnett County Detention Center for the following charges:

Driver: Larry Thomas (47yo) from Tennessee

Vehicular Homicide – 2 counts
Serious Injury - for the passenger of his vehicle, Jesse Thomas
DUI – Less Safe
Fleeing / Attempting to Elude a Police Officer
Reckless Driving
Speeding
Failure to Maintain Lane
Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device
Crossing a Gore
VGCSA - Trafficking in Methamphetamine
Trafficking in Morphine
VGCSA – Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
VCGSA – Possession of cocaine
VGCSA – Possession of LSD
Possession of Gun during commission of a felony

Passenger: Jesse Thomas (18yo) from Tennessee

VGCSA - Trafficking in Methamphetamine
Trafficking in Morphine
VGCSA – Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
VGCSA – Possession of LSD
VCGSA – Possession of cocaine
Possession of Gun during commission of a felony

This concludes the investigation by the Gwinnett County Police Department. Additional information will be released by Johns Creek Police Department.

(Peachtree Corners, Georgia)  Gwinnett County Police are actively investigating a double fatality accident at the intersection of Peachtree Parkway at Jay Bird Alley. The incident started at approximately 10:30 pm, as a vehicle pursuit by Johns Creek Police Department that led into Gwinnett County. The suspect vehicle traveled southbound on Peachtree Parkway and failed to yield for Johns Creek Police.

As the vehicle approached the intersection of Peachtree Parkway at Jay Bird Alley, it collided in the intersection with a second vehicle. Both the driver and passenger of that vehicle are deceased. The driver and passenger of the suspect vehicle have been transported to Gwinnett Medical Center. The driver faces DUI, drug charges and vehicular homicide charges in Gwinnett County. The passenger faces drug charges, and gun charges in Gwinnett County. No names are available at this point pending next of kin notification. Johns Creek Police Department will release additional information about the pursuit as the information becomes available.
