Restaurant Manager Robbed at Gunpoint, Shots Fired

(Snellville, Georgia)  On Sunday, July 19, shortly after 1am, officers assigned to the South Precinct were dispatched to an Armed Robbery call at the Golden Corral in Snellville (3888 Stone Mountain Highway).  According to the restaurant manager (age 57), he was preparing to lock up the building when he was physically attacked by two black males.  Both suspects were armed.  One suspect held the gun to the back of the manager’s head while he unlocked the front door.  Both suspects forced the manager to walk into the restaurant office.

Once inside the office, one suspect demanded that the manager open the safe and give him the money inside.  The suspect gave the victim a black bag.  When the manager was having difficulty opening the safe, the suspect fired one shot in close proximity to the victim’s head.  A few moments later, and after the manager still couldn’t open the safe, the suspect fired another shot.  This round struck a computer monitor.  The suspects then left the restaurant running out of the front door.
