VOLUNTEERS BEAUTIFY SWEET WATER PARK

(Lilburn, Ga., Oct. 25, 2016) – The Gwinnett Parks Foundation held its semi-annual Park’nership event on Oct. 22 to cleanup and enhance different areas of Sweet Water Park in Lawrenceville. There were 52 volunteers completing 182 hours of service moving 18 pallets of rocks to shore up drainage throughout the park, and 5 tons of mulch to beautify the front entrance.  The event was in partnership with Gwinnett Great Days of Service. Through their dedication, energy, and commitment, these volunteers are both invaluable and inspirational.

Park'nership offers an exciting and rewarding opportunity for the community to come together and serve with other volunteers to enhance Gwinnett's beautiful parks. Volunteers help with park maintenance, streambank stabilization and habitat creation, providing manpower that the county could not otherwise afford. More importantly, events like this bring people together to be good stewards of their parks.
