Suspect Steals Cash Registers in Two Armed Robberies

Armed Robbery #1: (Duluth, Georgia)  On Monday, July 13, shortly after 5am, officers assigned to the Central Precinct were dispatched to an Armed Robbery at the Waffle House located at 2320 Satellite Boulevard in unincorporated Duluth.  When the officers arrived, they interviewed an employee and customer. 

According to the witnesses, the suspect entered the location holding a handgun and demanded money.  The suspect walked behind the counter and stole the entire cash register.  The surveillance video footage indicates that the suspect exited the store and entered the driver’s seat of a black 4-door passenger vehicle.  The lead investigator in this case believes that the vehicle is a newer model Hyundai Elantra or similar.

Armed Robbery #2: (Lawrenceville, Georgia)  On Monday, August 17, shortly before 5am, officers assigned to the Central Precinct were dispatched to an Armed Robbery at the Waffle House located at 1205 Lakes Parkway in unincorporated Lawrenceville.  When the officers arrived, they interviewed the employees. 

According to the initial report, one of the employees noticed a small black passenger car circling the parking lot just prior to the robbery.  The suspect entered the business holding a handgun and demanded money.  The suspect walked to the counter and stole the entire cash register.  He was seen leaving the restaurant and getting into the driver’s seat of the small black passenger car.

The lead investigator believes that the same suspect is responsible for both robberies.

Race / Sex:                 Black / Male

Age:                             20-30 years old

Height:                         5-09 to 5-11

Weight:                        170-190 lbs. 

Clothing:                      Grey hooded sweatshirt, black or dark blue pants, black shoes, black or dark blue mask, black sunglasses
