*UPDATE: Double Homicide Investigation: Victims Identified

Update #1: The victims have been identified as Jaquille Thomas, (18yo) and Angelique Bowman, (19yo) both from Stone Mountain. Neither victim lived in the subdivision. Detectives are investigating the relationship between both parties and why they were in the subdivision.

(Norcross, Georgia) Gwinnett County Police are actively investigating a double homicide on the 6000 block of Wandering Way. Police responded to a person dead call shortly after 9AM this morning. The call was made by surveyors who were working in the area. They found a deceased black male suffering from gunshot wounds lying between two homes. As police processed that location, a second call was made at 11AM regarding a theft at the subdivision clubhouse. As police investigated the theft, they discovered a deceased black female suffering from gunshot wounds in an SUV.

The first scene is approximately 200 yards from the second scene. At this point, detectives are canvassing the neighborhood for witnesses and working to identify the decedents. A relationship between the two decedents has not been established. As a result, it is unknown if there are any ties between the two decedents and the subdivision where they were located.
