(Duluth, Ga., Mar. 22, 2024) – Gwinnett County Police detectives are investigating a double shooting that left one man injured and another man deceased. 

Around 7:50 p.m. on March 21, officers at the Central Precinct responded to a person shot call at 2423 Pleasant Lake Village Lane in Duluth.  The caller stated he had been shot by someone in the apartment and he returned shots back.  When officers arrived, they found two males suffering from gunshot wounds.  Both were transported to a local hospital, where one of the parties later died.  The other party is currently in critical, but stable condition.  The deceased has been identified as Faisal Nortey (29, Atlanta).

Detectives believe both parties were in the apartment and some kind of altercation took place between the two males.  Detectives are still working to determine who started shooting first, but it is believed the two males involved shot each other.  Currently there is no other outstanding party involved in the incident.
