COUNTY OFFICES CLOSE FOR NEW YEAR’S HOLIDAY, SOLID WASTE COLLECTION SCHEDULE DELAYED BY ONE DAY

WHAT:  All Gwinnett County government offices, with the exception of those operations required for the comfort and safety of residents, will be closed Jan. 1 for the New Year’s holiday. County offices will resume normal business hours on Jan. 2. A Magistrate Court judge will be available at the Gwinnett County Detention Center during the holiday.

Trash and recycling collection in unincorporated Gwinnett County will be delayed by one day starting Jan. 1 through Jan. 3. Collections will be made the day following the holiday, and subsequent collection during the holiday week will take place on the day after the normal collection day. Residents can visitGCSolidWaste.comto find their hauler’s contact information. Residents who live within city limits should contact their trash and recycling provider to find out if collection will be delayed due to the holiday.

WHEN:  County offices will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020, and will reopen during normal business hours Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020.
