COMMISSIONERS TO HOST MARCH TOWN HALL MEETINGS

Residents have an opportunity to have questions answered, provide feedback 

(Lawrenceville, Ga., March 11, 2024) – To continue the momentum of the 2024 State of the County address, District Commissioners Kirkland Carden, Jasper Watkins III and Matthew Holtkamp are hosting town halls this month to share accomplishments and discuss projects and initiatives impacting residents in their districts, including public safety and transit.  

District 3 Commissioner Jasper Watkins III will kick off his series of town halls tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Dacula City Hall. He’ll host two others, one alongside District 4 Commissioner Matthew Holtkamp, on Monday, March 18 at 6 p.m. at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center in Lawrenceville and a third event, also at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, on Wednesday, March 27 at 6:30 p.m.

On Thursday, March 21 at 6 p.m. District 1 Commissioner Kirkland Carden will join District 4 Commissioner Matthew Holtkamp to speak with residents in the Suwanee area at Suwanee City Hall.

In addition to joint town halls with Commissioners Carden and Watkins, Commissioner Holtkamp will host a final town hall this month on Wednesday, March 27 at 6 p.m. at Seckinger High School in Buford.

Residents are encouraged to stay until the end of each town hall for an opportunity to ask questions of their commissioner and County staff in attendance.

District 1 includes the cities of Berkeley Lake, Duluth, Norcross, Peachtree Corners and portions of Suwanee and Lawrenceville. District 3 encompasses Dacula, Grayson, Loganville, Snellville and parts of Lawrenceville. District 4 includes the cities of Buford, Sugar Hill, Braselton, Rest Haven, Auburn and parts of Dacula, Suwanee and Lawrenceville.
